Connect an Instagram account
Updated over a week ago

Hub provides assistance for Instagram professional profiles, encompassing both "business" and "creator" profiles. While the connection process typically takes just a few minutes, encountering unexpected hurdles isn't unheard of, hence we advise adhering closely to these outlined steps.

Key Considerations for Connecting Instagram

  1. Ensure your Instagram profile is designated as a business or creator account.

  2. Link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page to facilitate Hub's connection.

  3. Verify that your Facebook profile holds Admin privileges for the corresponding Facebook Page. If adjustments are needed, consult Facebook's guide on role management.

  4. For automated publishing of Instagram stories, your account must be configured as an Instagram business account.

Connecting your Instagram business or creator account

  1. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to convert your Instagram personal profile to a professional account and select the type (business or creator).

  2. In the panel, click on your profile avatar at the top right of your dashboard and then click Channels from the menu.

  3. You can see the Instagram channel and click Connect.

  4. Click Authenticate with Facebook. It is required that Instagram business accounts be linked to a Facebook Page in order to connect them to Hub. This is why the authentication process needs to be completed within Facebook.

  5. Enter your Facebook login credentials and click Login. If you're already signed into Facebook, you will just need to enter your password and click Continue.

  6. You'll need to authorize Hub to access your Facebook account. Click Continue as name and then click OK on the next prompt.

  7. Click on the Instagram channel you'd like to connect and click Add Channel.

  8. You're almost done! Once your page has been connected to Hub.
